So easy it's scary, Halloween treat!

Hello my pretties!! I know, I know...it's been F O R E V E R!  I miss my sweet blog.  This is where I have found joy and a happy place to connect and support other great bloggers.  Especially to connect with me and my own brain.  Life has changed around the suite.   Things move quicker.  My kids are growing like weeds and this Momma is always just trying to keep a float! Hehee!  Thanks for being so supportive.  I am grateful for those who send me comments, emails and texts, "WHERE ARE YOU?  I miss your posts!  Please post soon!"  You are all so sweet and they brighten my day.  Thank you!!
Enough blabbie blab... I have a little treat for you SOCCER MOM/ TEAM MOMS/CLASSROOM MOMS or just anyone awesome who needs a fun treat idea! Hehee!  It's a glove filled with yummy goodness.  With a little tag that says: Give yourself a "Hand" for an awesome season!  Cute, right?!?

Super easy and my son is so excited to "hand" them out. Bwahahaaa!
Okay, so I have one more fun little idea to share.  My husband was head coach and he had some amazing parents step in to help out.  We were super lucky to have them.  I made them up a small gift.  Who doesn't need socks...am I right?!? I LOVE new socks.  So I rolled 3 pairs of socks up and put them in a bag with a tag that say: It was a kick having you as a coach!  Thanks for helping the boys learn how to really "SOCK" it to 'em!"

I'm all about easy!  I think I got it!  What are you all doing for team snacks or coaches gifts??  We have many more seasons ahead of us.  I'd love to hear your ideas.  I'm off to cut up oranges for half time snack.  Love you all my pretties.  Thanks again for checking in on me...Elizabeth!!! Love you!

Snicker Bar Cookies

The darn Halloween candy has voices in this house!
They call out to me ALL day long.
AHHHHH....they are EVERYWHERE!!!

I finally decided to put an end to the voices,
I chopped the little punks up and made some cookies.
The plan was to bake up a pan full and throw the rest in the freezer to flash freeze them for Christmas cookie baking.
Super smart, right?!?!

Here is part of our loud Snicker Bar loot that likes to call out my name...

CHOP, CHOP!!
EEHeehHEEEheee <------evil laugh="laugh" p="p">
I found THIS recipe.
I altered it a bit.
Here's the actual recipe I used.

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup Crisco
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 20 Snickers miniature candy bars, unwrapped
  • (I used the fun size and regular size.  I cut them into 40 pieces)

    Directions:

In large bowl, combine sugars, butter,Crisco, peanut butter, vanilla and eggs
              Beat well.
Add flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
          Mix well.
Use a cookie scoop and scoop out 40 cookies for your 40 snicker pieces.

    Take your cookie ball.

    Flatten it out.

Put your snicker piece in the middle.

    .
Wrap the cookie dough around the snickers.

Roll it into a ball to all the Snicker bar is covered.

Here are mine ready to flash freeze!

Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375°F for 10-12 minutes or until light golden brown and puffy.
Remove from cookie sheets with a large spatula.  Cool.
    Makes 40 cookies

The pan of cookies didn't last an hour.
These were a knock outta the park!
Super moist and ooey gooey in the middle. YUM!!
1 batch of Christmas cookies are done.
We also killed a few candy bars along the way :)
    Whew!!
Their friends better watch out..I'm coming for them next!!

    Drop Your Drawers!

We have a tiny wall that faces the kids' bathroom.
This tiny wall is a mighty wall.
Why is it mighty, you ask?
Well, It holds up the large dirty clothes pile that comes off of the smelly little bodies that are getting into the shower each night. :)
    Unfortunately,
not all the smelly clothes make it to the wall.
I usually find a loooooonnnggg traaaiiilll of clothes running down the hallway.
I decided the mighty wall needs a basket.
I was hoping the basket will remind the smelly little bodies where to put their clothes.

    Then I thought,
    "NO, it needs a sign!!!"
(I know, totally genius, right?!? Not sure how that ended up in my brain :))

This cute sign will be joining the mighty forces of wall/ basket.
I think they will make a great team.

Hoping the silliness of it will help them to remember where their stinky drawers go.
    Probably not!!
    I still love it:)
I used an old cupboard door and cut the saying out of vinyl.

Then to top it all off..
    An old belt.
It gives the whole "Drawers" feel to it, don't cha think?

    Thanks for being here!!
    Happy Monday :)
    Smooches!!

    Oh.My. {Suite}. Fort Kit

One of my happiest childhood memories you ask???
Building a HUGE fort in the middle of our Family Room
    out of sheets.
It was the best place for Barbie tea parties.
Oh, and the far corner in the back...
PERFECT place for a nursery for my cabbage patch dolls.

Awww...what I would give to be a kid again.

    Why all the reminiscing??
Well, I stumbled upon something totally fabulous on Salt-water Kids.

    Ever since my "stumble"...
I've been able to spread the love.
Some of my most favorite little peeps can make their own fort memories now too.

    THE BEST!!
    It's a..
    FORT KIT!!!
Like I said, I was inspired (here).

    What goes in it:
    Small suction cups
These are used to stick to windows or whatever they will stick to.
I found these at Target for about $3.

    Clothes Line
This is used to hang the sheet from.
    Or get creative :)
    Dollar Tree $1

    1 pkg of clothes pins
Used to pin the sheets to the line or your brothers nose :)
    OUCH!!
    Found these at Target...$2 ish

     Cute matching flashlight
    the possibilities are endless.
    Make it fun.
You could add glow sticks, stars,
lantern, you get where I'm going with this :)

    Clamps
They sell a large bag of these all different sizes, Walmart :)
These would REALLY hurt your brother's nose.

    Flat Sheets
    2 or more
save the little bag the sheets come in.
Then you can use it to put all the fun little parts to you kit in it.

Here's how to put it together:
    Step 1: Make your ties
Cut one of your hubby's old lonely shirts into strip.

Pull each end of the strips tight so they end up curling into a nice clean rope.  Add a knot to each end.

    Do this 14 times.

Step 2: Sew strip onto the sheets:
Fold each string in half and sew them on with a super crazy stitch back and forth until you know they are on there good.

It ends up looking like this.
Sew it right through the middle of the string so there is a loop on top and then some of the string hanging down.
This way the clothes line can be pulled through the loops to hang the sheet when building the fort.
Add a loop to all four corners of the sheets and half way down each side and one right in the middle of the sheet.
For a visual, check out the Salt-Water Kids tut.

Step 3: The bag it goes in
You can sew your own bag or buy one.
The bag can be sewn from another sheet, OR I just used the rest of the "lonely" shirt and a pair of old jeans to whip up a bag.

    To top it all off,
    add a cute little tag.

    You're all done.
Isn't that the coolest thing EVER?!?!
The best part was seeing them in action!
Here are a few pictures my friend sent to my phone.

    One fort kit..

This is what you can do with TWO fort kits!
    Aren't they the cutest?!?!

It's so much fun to see these little peeps building forts and LOTS of memories!!
    Happy building :)
